Coaching Cards Information from SSA

Hello,

I just want to point out some “mis-information” which is being passed on to coaches about coaching cards, and would ask if you could inform your instructors and/or administrators that the CSA does not issue “coaching cards” of any sort to coaches taking part in the Community Coach Program.  Any enquiries about coaching cards should be addressed to the NCCP Database, the record keeping branch of the Coaching Association of Canada, who can be reached at:

Thanks for your help in this matter as it will save coaches the frustration of having to make numerous calls in order to hunt down the correct source of information they need.

Yours sincerely,
Ray Clark,
Director of Coaching & Player Development.

Coach CPIC

Coaches must have in a CPIC form filled out in order to be able to coach, as well, as the letter that is to be filled out and attached with the form…

You can download the form and take it to the Police Station, unless you live out of town, in that case, you take it to the RCMP detachment closest to you.

Byte Size Coaching

The Saskatchewan Soccer Association (SSA), in partnership with World of Soccer, is pleased to be able to provide the Byte Size Coaching Curriculum as a resource for all coaches providing soccer instruction to registered players in Saskatchewan.

The Byte Size Coaching Curriculum is an age-specific, developmentally appropriate set of training plans designed by Tony Waiters, a former Canadian Men’s National Team Head Coach, that is Long Term Player Development compliant, easy to understand and instruct, and most importantly fun!

While the Byte Size Coaching Curriculum is an excellent resource for both novice and experienced coaches in planning their training sessions, it is not meant to replace Coaching Certification, but rather to complement it. The Coach Certification Pathway educates prospective coaches on the role of the coach, safety, injuries and liability, ethical decision making and fair play, in addition to preparing them to plan and conduct training sessions. Every player deserves a certified coach!

The Byte Size Coaching Website is now active.
